Ford Explorer vs. Buick Enclave

The Buick Enclave is a traditional midsized SUV, just like the Ford Explorer. Let's explore they ways they differ.

  • The Buick Enclave offers three trim levels, whereas the Ford Explorer offers four trim levels to choose from, one of which is a Hybrid that doesn't compromise on horsepower.
  • Defiance, OH drivers will experience an engine capable of 400-horsepower in the Ford Explorer and a 5,600-pound towing capacity. The Buick Enclave engine is only capable of 310-horsepower and can accommodate 1,500-pounds of hauling. The Ford Explorer majorly surpasses in this arena.
  • Both models seat seven passengers, but the Ford Explorer is roomier with 152.7-cubic-feet of passenger volume in total, whereas the Buick Enclave only has 97.6-cubic-feet of passenger volume.
  • Safety-wise, the base model of the Ford Explorer features standard AdavancTrac® (assists with traction and stability) and remote keyless entry and SecuriLock® (anti-theft system). The Buick Enclave does not include a standard inclusion of any of these types of features.

Ford Explorer vs. Chevrolet Traverse

The Chevrolet Traverse is another popular SUV model on the market these days. Having a similar size, there's a lot to compare.

  • Maximize your smart device charging time in the Ford Explorer with three standard 12-volt outlets located conveniently throughout the cabin from the base model. The Chevrolet Traverse only offers one, and it does not come standard.
  • Enjoy copious amounts of cabin cargo space with the second-row console that sits comfortably between two captain seats in the Ford Explorer. The Chevrolet Traverse does not feature this type of storage.
  • Toledo drivers will be happy to know that the 2020 base model of the Ford Explorer includes Ford Co-Piolot360™ which includes all the latest in lane-keeping systems, auto emergency breaking and blind spot, forward and rear sensors. These features are available for the Chevrolet Traverse, but they do not come standard.

Ford Explorer vs. GMC Acadia

The GMC Acadia is another midsized SUV commonly compared to the new Ford Explorer, but there are actually several differences that set them apart from one another.

  • The Ford Explorer comes out on top again in terms of power. That 400-horsepower engine beats the 310-horsepower engine of the GMC Acadia-and that's the GMC power when it's in all-terrain mode.
  • The Ford Explorer more comfortably sits additional passengers and would perfectly suit a seven or eight-person Delta, Ohio family. Conversely, the GMC Acadia most comfortably seats six, and only has the option to opt for seven seats.
  • The latest in technology is possible for Swanton families in the Ford Explorer with its 10.1-inch portrait-oriented touchscreen display that really sets it apart. In the GMC, you'll find a more traditional 8-inch landscape display.
