Fresh oil keeps your engine running just right. The downside there is that oil can't last forever. The heat that would normally break down your engine breaks down your oil instead, and we think that's a pretty good trade-off. As your oil breaks down, it becomes less and less effective at cooling your engine. If you leave it alone for too long, it can become a thick, black sludge, and it will clog your engine instead.
